1. Information We Collect
From caregivers: full name, age, gender, mobile number, email, Aadhaar number (only last 4 digits are displayed publicly; full document is stored privately for verification), photograph, district, city/town, languages, shift preferences, experience, hourly rate, and bio.
From families: name, mobile number, email (optional), district, city/town, patient age, care notes, and language/shift preferences.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To match families with appropriate caregivers
- To verify caregiver identity and credentials
- To contact you about your registration or request
- To send login codes (OTP) to your email
- To improve our service and prevent fraud
3. Sharing
Caregiver contact details are shared with families only after the admin reviews and matches a request. We do not sell your data. We may share data with law enforcement when required by Indian law.
4. Aadhaar Handling
Full Aadhaar documents are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket and are viewable only by authorized admins via short-lived signed links (valid for 60 seconds). Public profiles show only the last 4 digits.
5. Data Security
We use row-level security, encrypted storage, and role-based access controls. While we follow industry-standard practices, no online service is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your profile/request is active. To request deletion, contact us with the email/mobile linked to your account; we will remove your data within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us via the home page to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies/local storage for session management and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children
Trusted Bystander is not intended for use by individuals under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site.
