1. About Trusted Bystander
Trusted Bystander is a caregiver-matching platform operating across the 14 districts of Kerala, India. We connect families seeking bystander/caregiving help with verified caregivers. We are an introduction platform — we do not directly employ caregivers, and caregivers are independent service providers.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use this service. By registering as a caregiver or submitting a family request, you confirm the information you provide is true and accurate.
3. Caregiver Verification
All caregiver applications are reviewed by our admin team. We collect Aadhaar (last 4 digits visible to families, full document securely stored), photograph, and contact details. While we make reasonable efforts to verify identity, families are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before engaging any caregiver.
4. Family Responsibilities
Families are solely responsible for the work arrangement, payment, and supervision of caregivers they engage. Trusted Bystander acts only as an introducer and is not a party to any employment, service, or care agreement between families and caregivers.
5. Limitation of Liability
Trusted Bystander provides the platform on an "as-is" basis. We are not liable for the conduct, performance, or any acts or omissions of caregivers or families. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim shall not exceed any fees you have paid us in the past 6 months.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not use this service for fraudulent purposes, impersonation, harassment, or any activity that violates Indian law. We reserve the right to remove listings and revoke access at our discretion.
7. Data & Privacy
Your information is handled per our Privacy Policy.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala.
